1Terminal messages

Reference for messages LootX writes itself: connection, API keys, orders, rate limits, proxy, View-only mode, update, and LootX sign-in.

This page collects messages the terminal writes on its own, independently of the exchange: about connection, API keys, orders, rate limits, proxy, View-only mode, update, and LootX account sign-in. The heading is the text as shown in the UI; “…” is where the terminal inserts the connection name, coin, number, or time.

If a message contains the exchange’s English text after a colon, that is the exchange’s own response: how to find the code in it is explained on the Error messages: how to read page.

Exchange connection

⚠ Exchange not connected — …

What it means. You are placing, cancelling, or moving an order from a panel whose trading connection is currently down. After the dash — the venue, market, and connection name, e.g. “Gate.io Futures · Gate main”.

What to do. Open Settings → Connections and check the state of that connection: the tooltip at the dot will name the reason. If there is no exchange connection at all, create one (Connecting exchanges and API keys).

⚠ Connection disabled — …

What it means. The panel has a connection, but it is turned off in settings. It will not come up on its own, no matter how long you wait.

What to do. Enable it in Settings → Connections, or select a different connection for the panel in the ticker selector.

⚠ This venue has no trading — …

What it means. The panel is open on a venue that only provides market data — Upbit or Binance Alpha. The order book, time and sales, and charts stream in, but no orders can be placed there.

What to do. Nothing to fix. To trade a coin, open it on an exchange with a trading connection.

… disconnected

What it means. A trading connection (e.g. “Bybit Futures”) dropped and did not come back within 15 seconds. Short drops are not shown; the card repeats no more than once a minute. That account’s orders on the order book become semi-transparent. If the connection does not return within a minute, the account’s orders and position are removed from panels — they remain on the exchange.

What to do. Check the internet and proxy. The reason for the drop is in the connection tooltip in Settings → Connections. When the connection returns, orders and position are pulled back from the exchange; if the drop lasted longer than a minute, a green “… connected” card appears.

…: API keys are empty — nothing to connect

What it means. You enabled the connection, but it has no API keys — or it does not have the market you are connecting selected. Nothing to trade with.

What to do. Open the connection in Settings → Connections, paste the key and secret (and passphrase, if the exchange requires it), and check the market: spot, futures, or both.

“…” is disabled, and there is no other connection for this exchange — panel … left without an account

What it means. You disabled the connection a panel was bound to, and there is no second connection for the same exchange. The panel keeps showing the market, but orders and position are not visible in it.

What to do. Enable the connection again, or create another one for this exchange and select it in the panel.

Windows blocked the TRADING engine (Smart App Control / antivirus): orders are NOT sent and positions are NOT managed!…

What it means. A red banner at the top of the window: Windows prevented the terminal’s trading engine from starting. While it is visible, orders do not reach the exchange. A similar “Windows blocked the data engine…” banner means market data may not update.

What to do. Restart the terminal. If the banner comes back, add LootX to the exclusions of Windows Defender or your antivirus and restart again.

⚠ Command not sent (…) — channel closed

What it means. The link between the terminal window and its trading engine was interrupted at the moment of a command — placing an order, cancelling, or changing leverage. The command was not sent to the exchange. The parentheses contain the command’s internal name.

What to do. Wait for the connection to recover, check the orders on the order book, and repeat the action.

⚠ Stale and not sent: … (reconnection)

What it means. While the trading connection was recovering, several of your commands were queued for too long. Sending them late is dangerous — the market has already moved, so the terminal dropped them. The number is how many commands were dropped.

What to do. Check orders and position and repeat the necessary actions.

API keys

…: the exchange rejected the API key or secret — check them in connection settings

What it means. The exchange did not accept the key, secret, or passphrase of connection “…”. The card appears immediately, without the usual drop timeout, and once per connection. The dot in Settings → Connections turns red with the tooltip “The exchange rejected the API key or secret”.

What to do. Copy the key and secret again in full, without spaces; for OKX, Bitget, and KuCoin check the passphrase. Make sure the key has not been deleted on the exchange. After fixing and reconnecting successfully, the message can appear again if the key stops working again.

Order rejected: invalid API key or secret

What it means. The exchange rejected a specific order because of the request signature — most often the secret was copied incompletely or the key was replaced. There is no automatic retry.

What to do. Same as the previous point: paste the secret again. If rejection happens only on one coin while other orders go through, send a report to support.

…: this key type is not supported. Hyperliquid requires the wallet’s own private key, not an API wallet (agent) key

What it means. The key is valid, but it is an API wallet (agent) key, and this connection expects the wallet’s own private key.

What to do. Paste the main wallet’s private key. More on the Hyperliquid page.

“No permission” or “IP not whitelisted” rejection — no separate message

What it means. The key is valid, but it does not have the required permission enabled (e.g. futures trading), or your IP is not in the key’s whitelist. The terminal does not present this as “key rejected” and shows the exchange’s text as is.

What to do. Open API key management on the exchange website: enable the permission or add the IP. If you trade through a proxy, add the proxy’s address to the whitelist.

Orders

Order: …

What it means. The exchange rejected order placement, and the terminal could not identify the reason. After the colon — the exchange’s response untranslated; the “Order:” prefix is English even in the Russian UI. Common reasons: insufficient margin, volume below the minimum, price outside the allowed range.

What to do. Find the code in the text and open your exchange’s page in the Error codes section.

Cancellation rejected: …

What it means. The exchange did not cancel the order, and it stayed in the order book. The grey pending-cancellation mark disappears from the order. If the order had already filled or been cancelled by that moment, this is not an error: the terminal queries the exchange for its final status on its own and shows no message.

What to do. Read the exchange’s response after the colon and try cancelling the order again.

Moving the order failed: …

What it means. The exchange refused to move the order to a new price. The order stays at its previous price.

What to do. The reason is in the text after the colon. Check that the new price is valid for the coin and repeat the move.

Leverage … ×… not changed: …

What it means. The exchange did not accept the new leverage for the coin. Most often the selected leverage is higher than allowed for that coin.

What to do. Read the exchange’s response and select lower leverage. The previous leverage remains in effect until changed.

API trading unavailable for this coin — exchange restriction

What it means. The exchange is temporarily not accepting API orders for this coin: trading is suspended, or the exchange enabled protection — for example, right after listing.

What to do. Wait until the exchange lifts the restriction, or place the order on the exchange website.

⚠ Order … not confirmed within 15s — status unknown

What it means. Within 15 seconds the exchange sent neither confirmation nor rejection for the order on coin “…”. The pending-order mark is removed from the order book, but the order may still have reached the exchange.

What to do. Do not blindly place it again — you could end up with two orders. Check the order list and position; if there is no order, place it again.

No position to close

What it means. You clicked the order book in close-position mode, but there is no open position for this coin on this account. A common cause: close mode stayed on after the previous trade.

What to do. Turn off close mode to place regular orders. If there is a position on the exchange, check that the panel is bound to the right connection and market (spot or futures).

Red frame around the volume card

What it means. There is no message — only the frame. It appears in two cases: the volume is larger than the available funds or margin allows at the current leverage, or the volume is so small that rounding to the lot step results in zero. An oversized order is still sent, and the exchange will decide. A zero order is not sent at all.

What to do. Change the volume until the frame disappears. The terminal does not check the exchange’s minimum order size — its rejection will arrive as the exchange’s text.

Rate limit and ban

⚠ … · rate limit exceeded (…), restriction until … UTC

What it means. The exchange responded that there are too many requests from your IP address. Before the dot — the connection name, in parentheses — the exchange’s response code, at the end — until what time UTC the restriction applies. The limit is per IP: all connections of one exchange through the same address or proxy share the same pool. The card repeats no more than once every 5 minutes; that account’s orders on the order book become semi-transparent.

Under a normal restriction (code 429), background requests wait, but orders and cancellations are still sent. Under a ban — Binance uses code 418, Bybit 403 — nothing is sent until the specified time, including orders.

What to do. Wait until the specified time. Do not reconnect in a loop: requests during a ban may be counted by the exchange and extend it. If the restriction repeats, split one exchange’s connections across different proxies.

The text after the connection name differs by exchange:

Exchange Text
Bybit, OKX, Bitget, MEXC, KuCoin “…: rate limit exceeded (…), restriction until … UTC”
BingX “BingX: rate limit (…), pause ~… s — until … UTC”
Gate “Gate.io rate limit (…), pause ~… s — until … UTC”
Binance, Aster (code 429) “Rate limit (…), pause ~… s — until … UTC”
Hyperliquid “Hyperliquid: rate limit (…), pause ~… s — until … UTC. The address’s request budget is replenished by trading volume (1 request per 1 USDC).”

For BingX, Gate, Binance, and Aster, a restriction longer than three minutes is written differently: “restriction until … UTC (~… min)”.

Too many requests to the exchange, IP banned until … UTC

What it means. Binance or Aster banned your IP address for a period. The terminal takes the time from the exchange’s response and sends no requests to that exchange from this address until then — otherwise the ban is extended.

What to do. Wait until the specified time. If you need to trade sooner, switch the connection to a different proxy.

Computer clock

No separate message

What it means. Every signed request carries the computer’s time. Exchanges tolerate your clock being ahead by about a second; beyond that they reject everything: orders, cancellations, balance, leverage. The terminal checks its clock against each exchange once a minute and after such a rejection, so normally you will not notice anything. If the clock jumps — after waking from sleep or a manual change — rejections will continue until the next check, and the cards will show the exchange’s text with the words timestamp, recvWindow, or Timestamp for this request.

What to do. Enable automatic time in Windows: Settings → Time & language → Date & time → Set time automatically, then Sync now. Within a minute the terminal will re-check the clock against the exchanges.

Proxy

Proxy … rejects login/password (407) — check proxy settings

What it means. The proxy did not accept the login or password. This card appears when requests to LootX servers go through your proxy. For exchange connections the same rejection is visible in the connection tooltip and in the log: “Proxy … rejected authorization (HTTP 407 …) — check login/password, subscription expiry, or IP whitelist”.

What to do. Check the login and password in Settings → Proxy, whether the proxy provider’s subscription has expired, and whether your IP needs to be added to its whitelist.

Not responding: …:… — proxy is off or the address is wrong

What it means. The result of the Check button in Settings → Proxy: nobody answered at that address and port.

What to do. Compare the host and port with the provider’s details and make sure the proxy is running.

Port is open, but this is not a SOCKS5/HTTP proxy

What it means. Something answers at the address, but it is not a proxy — most often the wrong port is specified.

What to do. Get the port specifically for SOCKS5 or HTTP from the provider.

Port answers as …, but HTTPS is selected in the profile — scheme kept, check the setting

What it means. The check detected a different protocol than the one selected in the proxy profile, but it did not change your HTTPS selection.

What to do. Select the protocol named in the message in the Protocol field, or Auto (detect).

Address not recognized — check host and port

Similar tooltips for the address field: “There is a space in the address — check the pasted string”, “Non-ASCII character «…» in the address — check the keyboard layout”, “Looks like an IP address, but it is invalid — check the dots and zeros (e.g. 127.0.0.1)”.

What to do. Paste the address again — without spaces or Cyrillic letters, in the form the proxy provider gave you.

Address is empty — connections with this proxy will go DIRECT

What it means. The proxy profile has an empty address. Connections assigned to it work without a proxy — from your real IP.

What to do. Fill in the address, or remove this proxy from the connections.

Connection “…”: proxy address “…” could not be parsed — traffic went WITHOUT proxy

What it means. A log entry: the connection’s proxy could not be used, so it went direct. The same entry with the text “the selected proxy was removed from settings” means the proxy profile was deleted while a connection still referenced it.

What to do. Fix the address or assign a working proxy to the connection. If the proxy is needed for geo-blocking or hiding your IP, turn off the Fall back to a direct connection when the proxy is unavailable checkbox in Settings → Proxy — then instead of going direct the connection will not come up, and the log will show “Connection “…” not established: proxy unavailable, and direct fallback is disabled”.

View-only mode

The eye icon on the order book means this panel cannot trade right now, although data is streaming. Hover over the icon — the tooltip will name one of four reasons. The Settings → Order book → Hide volumes in View-only mode setting hides the volume and leverage card in the bottom-left corner during that time, but the icon itself remains.

View-only: this venue has no trading — order book, time and sales, and charts are streaming

What it means. A data-only venue — Upbit or Binance Alpha.

What to do. Nothing: there will be no trading here.

View-only: no connection to this exchange. Create one in settings

What it means. The panel has no trading connection to this exchange. Right after the terminal starts, the icon may flash briefly while connections are being assigned to panels.

What to do. Create a connection in Settings → Connections and select it in the panel.

View-only: connection is disabled in settings

What it means. The panel’s connection is disabled — it will not come up on its own.

What to do. Enable it in Settings → Connections or select another one.

View-only: this panel’s market is not connected right now — waiting for recovery

What it means. The connection exists, but the required market (spot or futures) is currently not up, or the link to the terminal’s trading engine is interrupted.

What to do. Usually nothing: the terminal reconnects on its own and the icon disappears. If it stays for a long time, check the connection tooltip in Settings → Connections.

Update and launch

Could not check for updates

What it means. The terminal could not reach the update server — at launch or via Help → Check for updates. This does not mean you are on the latest version. The terminal starts on the current one.

What to do. Check the internet and try again later via Help → Check for updates.

Download error. Try again later.

What it means. An update was found, but it could not be downloaded.

What to do. Try again later. If the error persists, download the installer again — see Installation and update.

Could not load the version list.

What it means. The Terminal versions window (the All terminal versions button in the update window) could not get the version list. Two soft hints may appear nearby: “List from the installed build — network unavailable.” and “The list may be incomplete: GitHub rate-limited requests, showing a saved snapshot.” — that is a GitHub restriction, not an exchange one.

What to do. Open the window later.

Package … is not published — nothing to install.

What it means. There is no ready installation package for the selected version.

What to do. Select a different version.

This build was not launched by the installer — cannot switch versions.

What it means. The terminal is not running from an installed copy, so it cannot change versions from the window.

What to do. Install LootX with the installer and change versions from the installed copy.

Could not open the main terminal window.

What it means. The “LootX Terminal — launch error” window: the terminal started, but the main window did not open. The text contains the reason and the path to the logs.

What to do. Restart the terminal. If the error repeats, send the support team the logs from the folder named in the message.

LootX account sign-in

Invalid credentials

What it means. Invalid email, username, or password. The terminal deliberately does not specify which — so no one can learn whether a login exists.

What to do. Check the keyboard layout and Caps Lock and enter the password again.

Email not confirmed — check your inbox

What it means. The account was created, but the email address has not been confirmed.

What to do. Open the email from LootX and follow the link. Check the Spam folder.

Too many attempts. Try again later

What it means. There were many failed sign-in attempts in a row, and the server temporarily limited them.

What to do. Wait a few minutes and sign in again.

Account blocked

What it means. Sign-in to this account is closed.

What to do. Contact LootX support.

Server unavailable. Try again later

What it means. The account server did not respond or responded with an error. The credentials may still be correct — there is no need to guess the password.

What to do. Try again in a few minutes.

Network error: …

What it means. The sign-in request did not reach the server: no internet, or the connection to the server is being blocked.

What to do. Check the internet; if websites open but sign-in does not work, try through a proxy or VPN.

Could not sign in: …

What it means. The server refused for a reason the terminal could not identify — after the colon is the server’s own text.

What to do. Read the server’s text. If it is unclear, write to support and include it.
