Voice
1Voice
Which alerts the terminal speaks out loud, how to turn voice on and pause it, choose a voice, speed and volume, and build your own phrase.
The terminal can speak triggers out loud: “BTC is up 3%” instead of a signal you still have to find with your eyes. Voice is spoken by screener rules, time and sales, liquidity walls, and the arbitrage screener, as well as extended hours before a candle closes.
Voice works only on Windows and uses the voices installed in the system. On macOS there are no voices or clock ticks.
What the voice speaks
| Source | Where to enable | What is spoken |
|---|---|---|
| Screener | Column alert rule window → Voice channel | Column value entering a set range |
| Time and sales | Time and sales settings → Alerts tab: Voice card → Speak alerts and the Voice channel on the rule | Triggers of tape rules and detectors |
| Walls | Panel settings → Enable alerts, voice on Appeared and Approaching events | New wall and price approaching it |
| Arbitrage screener | Panel settings → Alerts → Channels → Voice | New arbitrage above the net spread threshold |
| Extended hours | Clock settings → Periods → Voice for the required period | Period name before it closes |
How to configure the rules, thresholds and filters themselves is described on the Alerts and Levels page.
For the tape, voice is enabled in two places: the global Speak alerts toggle and the Voice channel on each rule. If the global toggle is off, the rule warns: “Voice for this tape is off — the rule is silent.”
Extended hours
The Extended hours button in the top bar opens a clock with a countdown to the period close: from 1 minute to 1 day, and separately to funding. Each period has its own Ticks and Voice toggles, and the Seconds before field sets the countdown length — from 1 to 30 seconds. At the start of the countdown the voice names the period, ticks click every second. When several periods close at once, only the longest is spoken: at the five-minute boundary the one-minute one is silent. Funding sounds independently.
Sound and alerts
The speaker button in the top bar opens the Sound and alerts window — the control panel for all alerts at once:
- Voice alerts — one toggle for all voice. Turned off — voice is paused, while the selected channels on rules are preserved. The speaker icon in the header shows the pause.
- Your alerts — all enabled sources with channel toggles Sound, Voice, Alert, and Telegram. Each toggle immediately changes the setting of the alert itself.
- Single voice — the voice, Volume, and Speech rate for all voice alerts. Test voice speaks a test phrase, Apply voice saves the selection.
While voice is paused, phrases waiting in the queue are dropped. A phrase that has already started is finished — it is short.
Voice, rate, volume, and pitch
The voice is shared by the screener, tape, walls, and arbitrage: configure it in one window and it applies everywhere. The Voice card of any of them has:
- voice selection — the list shows the name and language of each voice; the first item, “Default sound,” is the system voice;
- the gear button next to it — opens Windows speech settings, where you can install new voices;
- Rate — from −10 to 10, 0 is normal;
- Volume — from 0 to 100;
- Pitch — voice tone, from −10 to 10.
In the list, English and Russian voices come first, then the rest by language. Words that the terminal inserts into a phrase itself — for example, “buy”, “rising”, “futures” — are in the interface language, so choose a voice of the same language.
How a phrase sounds
Each source has its own word order, set in the How to pronounce field. Substitution buttons insert phrase parts where the cursor is; the set depends on the source: coin, value, direction, what triggered, from, rule name, currency, side, venue, market. You can write your own words between substitutions: the template {ticker} is up {value} will sound like “BTC is up 3%.”
The Will sound as: line shows an example on BTC, and ▶ speaks it along the same path as a real trigger. Use this template everywhere makes the template shared across all sources.
A few rules the terminal follows itself:
- an empty substitution is dropped together with the extra pause;
- commas are not spoken, the fractional part of a number sounds as a separate phrase part — “3 and 5”;
- a ticker that reads as a word sounds as a word (SOL, DOGE), the rest are spelled out (BTC, XRP); digits are separated from letters, and 1000PEPE sounds like “one thousand pepe.”
How not to drown in voice
Phrases do not overlap or interrupt each other: they go through a single queue. The queue holds up to eight phrases; during a burst of triggers the oldest ones are dropped so the voice does not lag behind the market.
Frequency is limited by pauses in the rules themselves:
- screener — Pause between triggers, separately for each coin;
- tape — Pause between phrases in the Voice card and Pause between triggers on the rule;
- walls — Cooldown per coin: it silences only the voice, while the toast, card, sound, and Telegram arrive as usual;
- arbitrage — Pause between alerts per pair.
What is not spoken
- Signal price levels from the order book, tape, and chart — they have sound, journal, and Telegram.
- Order execution, exchange connections and disconnections — only sounds from Settings → Alerts → Alert Manager.
- Team alerts, alerts from LootScript scripts, and levels set by external services via
lootx://.
The voice has no smooth fade: the phrase plays fully at the selected volume.
